About

Production, Photography, and the spaces between.

Eric Wood is a commercial and editorial photographer whose approach is shaped by 30 years inside the machinery of visual storytelling — dual paths in motion picture production and still photography have resulted in a body of work that spans commercial, editorial, documentary, product, travel, architecture, and dozens of theatrical feature films.

Welcome.

The bottom line? Eric doesn’t take pictures. He finds stories and then makes images that strip away distraction and get at the essence of the subject. His technical range is broad, but the through-line is consistent. He finds the story other people miss.

Eric understands budgets, deadlines, and the difference between a pretty frame and a purposeful one. He knows what it actually takes to execute a creative vision. He learned something early in his career that stuck: the best work comes from people who can listen, adjust, and deliver without drama.

Photography started in his teens, when he realized the camera was the most accessible way to share what he noticed about the world. The motion picture industry grabbed him because it was the biggest storytelling machine he could find. But the camera never left his hand. He was instinctively a storyteller.

His time inside motion picture production taught him how to harness that instinct under pressure. He rose to Unit Production Manager — learning every department, budget line, and logistics puzzle involved in getting a film made. That is the discipline he now applies to every commission: planning before shooting, creating a safe place for art to happen, and delivering on time and on spec.

That is the value you get. A generalist’s eye across genres, backed by decades of production experience. He doesn’t wait for happy accidents. He builds conditions where great work is likely, then executes. This means fewer surprises, fewer reshoots, and work that ships as agreed. And he’s not afraid to lead the conversations that make the work possible.

Eric is now fully engaged with AI-assisted production workflows — not as a technician testing tools, but as a seasoned storyteller applying new capabilities to the problems he has always solved: how to find the story in the frame and deliver it with precision. In an era where AI is reshaping commercial photography, the combination of experience, respect for long traditions, and adaptability are what sets him apart.

Based in Florida, Eric works from a small studio but is available for location shooting and studio work (large and small).
